Santa Clara University

Santa Clara is one of the powerhouse programs in men's Division I soccer (Division I is the elite level of university athletics in the US).

Just got this one tonight at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara and watched SCU play Stanford to a 1-1 draw. Surprise, surprise, it's made by Sport Scarf and features their usual basic template.

United States

Obviously, this a US National Team scarf.

This one was purchased by a colleague of mine who went to the June 2nd. US-China friendly in San Jose while I trekked to LA for an abysmal DC United game (0-0 against the Galaxy). It's a standard Nike template that they used for a whole slew of team scarves for the 2006 World Cup. I actually find it incredibly boring and am open to trades from any and all who want it.

San Francisco Seals

The Seals play in the PDL (Premier Development League), which is something like Conference football in England.

I actually bought this at a California Victory game in July or August. One of the Vics supporters is a part owner of the Seals and he was selling Seals gear at our tailgate. I'm pretty sure this is just one of the standard Sports Scarves (a company that does a lot of soccer scarves in the US) designs with Seals logos and type.

Scarving Time

So this is a "blog" about my burgeoning soccer/football scarf collection. It's not so much a blog as a place I'll post pictures and a little background on each of the scarves I get. I've only built a small collection over the past few months, but I'm hoping to really build a collection as I travel and hound friends and family who are traveling to bring back others. Of course, trades and exchanges with other scarf collectors are always welcome.

I am always on the lookout for scarves for the following teams in any number:
1. DC United
2. Tottenham Hotspur FC
3. FC Schalke 04

If anyone wants to trade, just send me an email!
